The Division of Field Measuring and Environment focuses on environmental studies related to hydraulic schemes, field studies and environmental monitoring ofphysical and chemical quantities of hydraulic bodies with the aim of designing different kinds of structures. Besides, in this section carried out many projects on the detection of dense flow in dam reservoirs in order to prepare the flashing operation instruction and evaluate the performance of hydraulic structures based on environmental criteria.

The main activities and projects carried out in this group are:
• Quantitative and qualitative monitoring of the river and springs downstream of Dams: Investigating the quantitative and qualitative changes of water at the same time as the tank is drained and the water level of the tank increases of dams such as Seymareh, Chamshir, Havasan, …
• Quality monitoring of surface water sources: Forecasting the water quality conditions in the dams reservoir and also forecasting the necessary arrangements for the quality management of the reservoir (checking the number and level of water intakes in the dam reservoir) and controlling and reducing the negative effects of the phenomenon of dams feeding such as Shafarood, Ezgeleh,
